What's Next? Local to Global Perspectives on COP21

  • GSU Student Center East, Senate Ballroom

On November 29, the whole world marched in support of strong climate action. Those who marched--including 550 of us right here in Atlanta--hoped to pressure the world leaders at COP21 to make an agreement that will truly protect the planet.

So the question is...did it work?

Did COP21 yield the results we hoped for? Will the Paris Agreement really be enough to slow the results of climate change? What was the conference itself like? What does this all mean for the environmental movement here in Atlanta?

Our panelists, who attended COP21 themselves, will answer these questions and more on February 4. The panel will be held in the Senate Ballroom of the GSU Student Center East (at the corner of Gilmer Street and Piedmont Avenue). For driving directions, please visit studentcenter.gsu.edu

Refreshments will be provided. Join us!

Panelists include COP21 attendees from:
City of Atlanta
Agnes Scott College
Emory University
Morehouse College

The event is sponsored by Center for Sustainable Communities and the GSU Sustainable Energy Tribe, and organized by the committee who brought you the People's Climate March Atlanta.
