Composting is fundamental to a sustainable lifestyle, critical to organic gardening, and an important component in sustainable food systems and in reducing our use of fossil fuels. What’s not to love? Join Michael McLane as we cover the science behind composting, various composting techniques (compost tea, hugelkultur, vermiculture, bokashi), compostable materials, bins, and uses. Participants will leave this class knowing how to build a successful composting system. Even experienced composters will learn something new!
