Design for Healthy Living Panel Discussion

  • Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA)

Co-Hosted by Design Collective and the Museum of Design Atlanta

The design of the physical environments in which humans live, work and play greatly impacts health and wellbeing. Too often, however, design supports unhealthy rather than healthy habits and practices.

Architects, interior designers and urban planners are responding to this problem with active design, an approach to the development of buildings, streets and neighborhoods that makes daily physical activity and healthy foods more accessible and inviting.
Please join us for a discussion of these topics featuring the following panelists:

Moderator: Laura Flusche of MODA: Executive Director
Panelist: Kyle Brooks of Blackcattips: Artist
Panelist: Dan Hourigan of Midtown Alliance: Director of Transportation and Sustainability
Panelist: Garnie Nygren of Serenbe: Director of Operations
Panelist: Basak Alkan of Perkins+Will: Urban Designer

This event is FREE and open to the public, but registration is required.
