Mission Zero Corridor
Speakers: Allie Kelly, Georgia Conservancy & Harriet Langford, Chair of the Ray C. Anderson Foundation
Come hear about Georgia's first sustainable highway. Mission Zero Corridor is the first project in the country to try to make a highway not just "sustainable," but "restorative." What does that mean? The Ray C. Anderson Foundation, Georgia Conservancy, Georgia Tech, Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia and Interface are accounting for the environmental impacts of Interstate 85 from the Georgia-Alabama state line to Exit 18 in LaGrange, and using technology and innovation to restore and improve the quality of the natural resources and the quality of life in the communities. The scope includes addressing water pollution, carbon emissions, air pollution, and noise and light pollution.
